When you purchase Dimensional Insight’s software, you will need to decide how you would like to host it. The decision can seem overwhelming as there are many factors to consider. We’d like to make that decision as easy as possible for you. So, let us shed a little light on the subject.
For starters, you will want to decide whether you want to host “in the cloud” or “on-premise.“ The difference is where your software resides. You will have the software on your own machines in an “on-premise” installation. Your software is installed on someone else’s server for a “cloud” installation.
Why DI Cloud versus On-Premise
Agility and scalability
Dimensional Insight will set up your platform to scale with ease. This means less man hours for you.
Enhanced productivity
Your staff does not having to do the heavy lifting, business agility and accelerated time to market are benefits you will experience.
Risk reduction
We take the risk, you relax. No worries about hardware failures. Long-term outages can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in some cases
Business innovation
DI Cloud enables lower barriers to entry for innovation and prototyping. It is expensive and time consuming to build testing and development infrastructure in-house.
Cost optimization
Less upfront cost. When it comes time to upgrade/purchase more hardware you do not have the cash outlay all up front of an onsite solution and manpower can be used elsewhere as we do the work. Installation time disappears. No time spent on upgrades.
Tailored hardware for better performance
Dimensional Insight’s private cloud provides server hardware and software configurations specifically tailored to the task of running our software in an optimized manner.
Increased application availability
DI Cloud delivers high levels of security and reliability. With our expertise, you can increase application security and availability accordingly.
Shorter project times
Time is money. DI Cloud has software and hardware experts working for you, so you can do what you do best.
Lower energy costs
When you move to the cloud, you no longer have to pay to power on-premise servers or maintain their environment.
Technical flexibility
Off-load the responsibility for the configuration and operation of servers, storage, the network, and data centers. This allows you to focus more staff time on important objectives.
At its simplest, the services proposed will allow you to continue to operate your DI software as you have before, just in the cloud instead of on-premise, freeing you of system maintenance tasks.
